Hi, I have been to see a Neurologist today, I have had pins and needles and now numbness in my hands and feet, after a really thorough examination, he was very good, he said that he thinks it is Peripal Neuropathy which is due to my RA, I have to have some blood tests and an electrode test to make sure but he seems pretty confident, I am feeling really low tonight, what else can go wrong medically wise? Thank goodness I have Malcolm, my hubbie, I truly couldn't cope without him, if anyone has this can they tell me about it thanks love KimxxSad Sad Sad Sad Sad

OH i am so sorry Kim.Sad

I have a lot of neuropathy now, managing peripheral and also autonomic neuropathy now (yawn) I do find the pain so much easier on the gabapentin.

Please feel totally free to have a wallow. It is NOT BLOODY FAIR and that is that! I wish there was someone to write and complain too because I would Kim, for you and several others on here. It is not on. Why cant rapists, paedophiles and terrorists get crappy diseases not the goodies???

I sometimes find reading a sad story or watching steel magnolias or similar and having a good cry lets it go for me.

then I need to do something I can control like having my nails done, having a hair cut, buying some new cushions for the sofa and changing things a bit at home.

Much MUCH love

Jenni xx

Have a good cry Kim as you are allowed to. This is a terrible disease which brings so many lousey variables into its fold.

I agree with Jenni 100% . Why is it us for goodness sake?

Anyhow, I am so glad that you have Malcolm to give a hug and make you a cup of tea or whatever. Thinking of you,

Eleanor x

Hi Kim
I am sorry you are going through this
it is awful to have the pins and needles in both hands and feet (I do not mean to sound bad) I have had the same for the past three and half years (but mine is due to the RA and MS) I am glad you do not have this
you will feel better when you have a really good cry (done that too)
hope you feel better soon
take care I hope it goes away for you soon

Hi, thanks very much everyone, I was sitting up until 1am last night, I think better when it is quiet, had a bit of cry to be honest, I think I was pinning my hopes of him being able to help me, I have bounced back a little, I have got used to the RA so I will get used to this too love Kimxx
